Depending on your height you can wear flats or cute wedges with this dress. I usually wear gladiator sandals or cute ballet flats so I don’t make the hem length of the dress a “high water” look.

A printed maxi dress can be a fun festive option and is always good to have. A solid color dress is a more versatile option and you can always find one that has intricate detailing or pair it with a cute belt to change it up. The accessories will be the main component that will change the dress from day to night. Pair it with a thin scarf for a cute day look and then add a long necklace or chunky earrings with some bangles for an out on the town look.

This clothing item can even transition into the early months of fall by pairing a nice scarf and cardigan with it as well as some cute ankle books. You can even pair tall boots with the dress and wear a fitted long sleeve shirt underneath to give a layered casual look.

Their fragrances are also beautifully luxurious such as Escale a Portofino. This Eau de Toilette is a nice light citrus scent that makes you feel as if you have been transported to the Mediterranean coast and are just basking in the sun while you look out at the beautiful sea. This is one of my favorite fragrances.

Their eyeshadows are definitely worth their slightly steep pricing. The pigments are so rich and the color truly translates from palette to eye lid. They also have beautiful 5 shadow palettes which help those who travel a lot as well as those who are just starting out with makeup. The 5 shadows can be arranged on the eye in so many different ways, whether using all of the colors or just a few.

Now on to the mascaras, my favorite piece of makeup. I bought my first Dior Show Extase mascara about 3 months ago and I can’t remember what pushed me to make the purchase. I am very glad I did because this mascara is one of the best out there, at least of what I have tried. It gives you extended, lifted and super thick lashes that appear almost to be false. I fell in love with this mascara right away and I got my younger sister to fall for it as well. As a warning, it is a thicker formula and the brush is bigger so if you do not always get along with this sort of brush, perhaps it is not the one for you. I personally love mascaras of this nature, so it fit into my daily makeup regimen perfectly.  Dior Show, their basic mascara, which I have not tried on myself yet but have heard amazing things about, leads me to believe that I will take the leap and try it out soon.

Foundation is done beautifully by Christian Dior. The texture is so nice and silky that you do not even worry about this formula clogging your pores or looking caked on. The foundation glides over the skin so smoothly that it gives a nice flawless look. It also lasts for a long time, granted that is dependent on the type of foundation that you choose.  The Dior Skin Sculpt Foundation is their full coverage foundation that I have used and it covered what I needed it to without looking like I put a mask on my skin. It also didn’t feel heavy on my skin once I put it on, which some full coverage foundations have been known to do.

This is my account of these amazing products, but you will only be able to feel as I do if you try them yourself. Since they are on the higher side of prices try their mascara or their foundation, whichever you feel you want to invest in more.

Before I graduated I decided I needed to make a plan of action in order to break into my dream world. So I got a job at a makeup counter in order to practice my skills and to have access to various types of makeup. At first I was on-call until I graduated; during that time I worked at Dior, Estee Lauder, Lancôme and Elizabeth Arden. I loved it because I was able to sample all of these big name brands and see which products I connected with. Towards the end of July I decided to stop my roaming ways and I took a part-time position with Lancôme. I am still there at the present and I love it. The products are very good and I love my clients.

During the summer, while hopping around to the different counters I decided I wanted to get more education in the artistry of makeup so I started searching for different programs and schools that I could attend. I finally found one, the Academy of Freelance Makeup. After I researched it and found that it was legit I signed up. A few months flew by and finally it was October and time for me to head up to New York for my two week course. I was so nervous at first but after I really got into the class I became so comfortable. It was the best two weeks of my life! I learned so much from so many different makeup artists in the business. It was great learning about the products they covet as well as tricks of the trade.

Now that I am back at home and my craft is improving even more I want to get out there and help the world to become a more beautiful place. My next step in my planned out path is to develop my website and market my skills. We shall see how this all pans out……..

When I first used this I put on my eye shadow primer as I usually do and then got to work. The colors were very nice and did not seem cheap at all. After getting ready I went out for the night and periodically I would check my makeup. And believe it or not, it was still fantastic! So I am also using it today at work. They also have a 5 shadow palette as well as shadow quads.

These inexpensive palettes are perfect for someone trying to branch out from the casual everyday champagne colored eyeshadow and try new and adventurous looks for day and night. The nice thing about some of the palettes is that they give you suggestions as how to do different looks with the colors provided. Once you have those mastered you can experiment and create new looks of your own. The great thing is that you don’t have to spend over $20 to get a few nice shades. Once you decide which you really like to use you can always graduate to the more expensive brands and see which you like more. The great thing about makeup is that you can always take it off if you don’t like it or change it according to your mood.
