So I was shopping in Forever 21 with some friends and was so surprised when I saw that they were now carrying their own line of cosmetics. I was very hesitant at first to buy any, because I didn’t want it to turn out to be similar to those play-makeup kits for young girls. Finally I decided to just get it, I mean $5-$6 is not a bad deal especially if it was going to turn out to be an awesome decision. So the first kit I got was the Beauty Journal with the colors for the Glamorous Neutral Eye Palette. This tells you how to apply the colors for this particular look and contains 12 colors as well as an eye liner, applicator, and mirror. This is a very easily portable palette to travel with as well.

When I first used this I put on my eye shadow primer as I usually do and then got to work. The colors were very nice and did not seem cheap at all. After getting ready I went out for the night and periodically I would check my makeup. And believe it or not, it was still fantastic! So I am also using it today at work. They also have a 5 shadow palette as well as shadow quads.

These inexpensive palettes are perfect for someone trying to branch out from the casual everyday champagne colored eyeshadow and try new and adventurous looks for day and night. The nice thing about some of the palettes is that they give you suggestions as how to do different looks with the colors provided. Once you have those mastered you can experiment and create new looks of your own. The great thing is that you don’t have to spend over $20 to get a few nice shades. Once you decide which you really like to use you can always graduate to the more expensive brands and see which you like more. The great thing about makeup is that you can always take it off if you don’t like it or change it according to your mood.
